UCLA Bruin Day is an annual campus event exclusively for admitted students and their families. The event is a cross-campus collaboration of faculty, staff, students and alumni. Six years ago, it was launched for admitted freshmen, and the success of that event led to the creation of a second Bruin Day for transfer students. Both events give future Bruins firsthand knowledge of the world-class academic opportunities and campus lifestyle that make UCLA the best choice for their university experience.

Bruin Day offers a flexible schedule of activities, including information fairs, presentations, faculty lectures, campus tours and open houses. Students can learn about academic programs, financial aid, student activities, housing options, campus safety and more. The day’s events also include special activities in support of families who reflect the broad diversity of the student population. Students also hear from campus leaders and preview some of UCLA’s 1,000+ student clubs and organizations, as well as the university’s arts, culture, athletics and recreation. In addition, all admitted students who submit their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) enjoy exclusive access to the Admission lounge and they can take photos with university mascots Joe and Josie Bruin. By the end of the day, admitted students experience life at UCLA firsthand and acquired the essential information they need to decide to enroll.
